Java Backend Developer (Spring, Microservices, SaaS)

Experience Level: Mid Level (3+ years)
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Java and Spring technologies, with a focus on building SaaS applications and implementing microservices. You will have experience with Spring Cloud, Rabbit MQ, Redis, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Responsibilities:

  • ● Design, develop and test Java based solutions using common standards and frameworks such as JAXB, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, JPA, JavaEE, Spring, and Hibernate.

  • ● Maintain and update all existing J2EE applications as required.

  • ● Implement microservices architecture and Spring Cloud solutions.

  • ● Develop microservices using Spring Boot.

  • ● Configure and manage data sources like MySQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL,

    MongoDB, etc.

  • ● Leverage RabbitMQ for the asynchronous messaging between the

    microservices.

  • ● Utilize Redis for caching to improve performance.

  • ● Troubleshoot and fix software related issues.

  • ● Reduce the occurrences of errors and improve the quality of the application.

  • ● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new

    features.

  • ● Communicate with stakeholders, collect requirements, and develop work

    products.

  • ● Assist in software development process with unit testing, code reviews, and

    design documentation.

Qualifications:
● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent.

  • ● 3+ years of professional software development experience.

  • ● Experience working with Java Spring/Spring Boot.

  • ● Experience with microservices architecture and Spring Cloud.

  • ● Familiarity with Rabbit MQ, Redis.

  • ● Understanding of SaaS applications.

  • ● Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.

  • ● Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.

  • ● Understanding of Agile/Scrum development principles.

  • ● Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.

Nice to have:

  • ● Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.

  • ● Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • ● Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.

  • ● Prior experience working in a start-up environment.
